We take bug reports seriously and appreciate your help in making our applications more stable and usable! If you experience an issue or crash, please submit a debug log immediately after the issue occurs. Sometimes we will also need the debug log from your contact or from both your phone and CoolApp Desktop.

Follow these steps to share a debug log:

What’s in a debug log?

Debug logs contain low level app information and do not reveal any of your message contents. Since we do not collect data on you, we appreciate your help in identifying the issue and working with us to get this resolved.


Android #

Steps to share a debug log from CoolApp when it is unlocked: #
  1. In CoolApp, tap your profile  > Help > Debug log > Submit.
  2. Tap and hold to copy the URL.
  3. Paste the URL into a new issue form.
Steps to share a debug log from CoolApp’s lock screen: #
  1. Go to Menu > Debug log > Submit.
  2. Tap and hold to copy the URL.
  3. Paste the URL into a  new issue form.
Steps to share a debug log from CoolApp’s registration or PIN flow: #

Select Contact Support from the screen or follow steps below.

  1. Tap 8x on the header of any screen.
  2. Tap and hold to copy the URL.
  3. Paste the URL into a new issue form.

Please include a CoolApp Desktop debug log if this is also an issue with CoolApp Desktop.


iOS #

Steps to share a debug log #
  1. In CoolApp, tap your profile  > Settings > Help > Submit Debug Log > Copy Link.
  2. Send the email with a description of what is going on.
Steps to share a debug log from CoolApp’s registration or PIN flow: #

Select Contact Support from the screen or follow steps below.

  1. Tap 8x on an empty space on the screen.
  2. Tap and hold to copy the URL.
  3. Paste the URL into a new issue form.
Steps to share a crash report #
  1. Go to iOS Settings  > Privacy (& Security) > Analytics (& Improvements) > Analytics Data.
  2. Locate and select the latest CoolApp-(DateTime).ips file. Make sure the file starts with CoolApp, ignore any file that includes wakeups, and make sure it includes the most recent date and time.
  3. Tap Share  in the top right.
  4. Send the email to [email protected].

Please include a CoolApp Desktop debug log if this is also issue with CoolApp Desktop.


Desktop #

Steps to share a debug log #
  1. Open CoolApp > View > Debug Log.
  2. Examine or edit your Debug log.
  3. Choose Submit.
  4. Select Copy.
  5. Paste the URL into a new issue form.
  6. Select  Close in the top-right to go back to your conversations.
Steps to share a debug log if CoolApp Desktop does not open #
  1. Find the folder with your application data
    • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Coolapp
    • Linux: ~/.config/Coolapp
    • Windows 10: C:\Users\<YourName>\AppData\Roaming\Coolapp
  2. Optional: ZIP/Compress the logs folder
  3. Share the logs folder or a specific log from within the logs folder as an attachment to [email protected].
